About Is Dead
Where we started, how we run things, and who keeps the servers going.
A survival experience that's challenging, rewards the effort you put in, and stays fun.
Where it started
A few friends wanted to capture the feel of the original ARMA 2 DayZ: the AI, the zombies, and building in the spirit of the Epoch mod. Players started trickling in, telling us how smooth it ran and how much it felt like the old days.
What we build for
The best DayZ moments are the stories, friendships, and rivalries you pick up along the way. So we aim for real progression and real challenge, without grind or hand-holding.
How we run things
A close-knit community that helps each other out, and admins who are as transparent as we can be without spoiling the game.
Where we're at
We started from the bottom and worked our way up. We're not the biggest, and that's fine. We'll keep putting our best into the admin side and the quality of the servers.
